Keith Urban recently shared a funny story about his wife, Nicole Kidman, playfully heckling him during one of his concerts. While speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on Friday, the country music superstar revealed that Kidman jokingly complained that he was talking too much during a performance. This playful banter led to her joining him onstage at a low-key Spotify event in Nashville, Tennessee, earlier this week.
Urban explained, “We were at this event, and someone asked about the song Parallel Line,” he said. “I started talking about Ed Sheeran, who wrote it, and I just kept talking and talking.” Clearly, his storytelling got a little long-winded, prompting Kidman to make her humorous remark.
In a sweet twist, the actress decided to join him on stage, creating a fun moment for both the audience and the couple. It’s clear that their playful dynamic adds an extra layer of charm to their public appearances!

‘And from the back I hear someone shout “Play the song!” And, of course, I’d know that voice anywhere and it’s my wife heckling me, basically.
‘So I said, “Will you come up and do it with me?” which I never thought she’d do. But she did.’
That surprised Ellen who had earlier said she suspected the whole thing was a set up.

‘That’s a particular angle,’ the 50-year-old star joked. ‘I’ve heard of talking out of it but singing out of it now, that’s incredible!’
And it turns out that The Voice judge and the Big Lille Lies actress-producer, 50, often sing together at home.

Keith kept up his country creds wearing a grey and white, tie-dyed T-shirt with short sleeves to show off his tattoos, and pale blue distressed jeans splattered with white paint that he tucked into heavy boots.
He and his band played his latest hit, Coming Home, after Ellen transformed the studio into a theater with the delighted audience standing around the stage.
