The selected Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft but general manager Joe Schoen made it clear they may not be done for the night.
“We’ll see how the night goes. We’ll see — obviously we’re not far from the back end of the first round, so we have five or six players that when you talk about, hey, if they’re there, we can talk about it,” he told reporters.
With quarterbacks falling, Schoen began making calls to teams in the 20’s. The Houston Texans eventually answered and a deal was worked out, giving the Giants pick No. 25 overall.
The only question that remained was: Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart?
