Bolton, 24, is reportedly set to sign a new FOUR-YEAR contract extension to stay with the Chiefs.
He will bank an eye-watering $60million from the deal despite suffering heartache in the Super Bowl.
The extension has been claimed by the popular X account ML Football.
The use of the word extension by the report would suggest that Bolton will indeed be signing on with the Chiefs.
In his four pro seasons, he has managed to achieve more than 100 tackles in three campaigns.
In the 2022 season, he even reached an astonishing 180 tackles.
His potential extension comes after being linked with an exit from the Chiefs.
Reports had claimed an interest from the New York Jets in the linebacker.
While ESPN did suggest that the Chiefs would be “unlikely” to able to franchise cap Bolton.
This would be due to having only $941,128 in available cap space this offseason.
The amount puts the Chiefs No.23 in the NFL as per Over The Cap.
Fans are thrilled with the potential development as they reacted on social media.
One posted: “He deserves every penny. Chiefs cannot let him go.”
A second wrote: “Yes please.”
A third commented: “Let’s go, that is brilliant.”
A fourth said: “I am desperate for Bolton to stay.”
